How do our online cycling classes work?

Our online cycling classes are delivered via an app called TrainerRoad.

How are the classes structured?

Our cycling classes are structured in training blocks with a progressive build that targets different zones (endurance, tempo, threshold, VO2 max) each week. Most sessions are 60 minutes, with a 90-minute option during the winter months to focus on endurance.

Personalized Workouts in a Group Setting:

Our group cycling classes are tailored to your fitness level using your Functional Threshold Power (FTP). All intervals are scaled to your personal FTP, so you get the right intensity for your goals while enjoying the motivation of training with the group.

Do we train together?

These coached workouts are led by us, your coaches and feature direct feedback on workout execution and the “why” behind the workout. Why train alone this winter when you can train where you belong?

Can I purchase a class pack?

Yes! We offer class packs for convenience and savings. You can also take advantage of occasional discounts that you will find in our newsletters!

Do I need special equipment?

A bike of course! Either a speed sensor, power meter, or smart trainer. A device to run the TrainerRoad app (a laptop is the only thing compatible for group workouts). A heart rate strap is great but not required.

Will I need to turn my camera on during class? 

Of course having your camera on helps us provide personal feedback & coaching on your form + movement — it’s not mandatory, you can choose the level of interaction that feels most comfortable for you.

How do I sign up for class?

Visit our class schedule page, select the class you’d like to join, and complete your registration! Make sure to sign up for class to reserve your spot as we are limited to 10 riders per class.

How do I join a PowerFix group class via TrainerRoad?

You will receive the daily group class code via email 10-15 minutes prior to class start time. Then follow this video & get ready to ride!

Cancellation Policies

What is your cancellation policy?

A no-show counts as one of your punch card classes. This helps us keep things fair for everyone and maintain class availability, as we are limited to 10 riders per class. However, if you’re sick, that’s a different story—just let us know! Reach out to sophie@thefixstudio.com and/or otte@thefixstudio.com to keep us informed.

Do my class packages expire?

Yes, our class packages have expiration dates based on the number of classes in the package. That said, we understand life happens! If you need an extension, feel free to contact us, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your situation.

Additional Support

Do you offer in-person support?

Yes! While most of our services are online, we provide minimal in-person support in Minneapolis, MN, for movement assessments, one-on-one strength training.
